Day 4-10: 7 days Kilimanjaro Hiking
Time to summit the tallest mountain on the African planet. The goal is to reach the Uhuru peak at 5,895 meters above sea level.
You can choose a route that is suitable for you and your preferences. Put in mind your physical ability and experience. For these 7 days of Kilimanjaro hiking, we recommend Machame route for the experienced. Umbwe route for the adventurous and more experienced. Rongai route for the less experienced as it has a gradual ascent and is less crowded for those who would like a quiet trek up the mountain.
You will be given a support crew of guides, porters and cooks to lend you a hand on your trek up the mountain. All the above-mentioned routes offer fully catered camping facilities.
When you summit the mountain at Uhuru peak (5,895m) on day 9. Savor the moment and take in a deep breath of victory, you are on top the world.
On your way down the mountain, do not forget to tip your support crew. Appreciate them for their time and labor. On day 10 when you reach Mweka gate, your tour driver will pick you and drive you to your hotel in Moshi.
