Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi, Kenya
Pick up from the airport and drive to your accommodation in Nairobi. Depending on your time of arrival, you could opt for a Nairobi city tour.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park
Drive to the picturesque Amboseli national park in the morning. Embark on a game drive up on arrival expecting to see lots of African elephants, zebras, giraffes, hyrax, cheetahs among others.
Amboseli boosts of stunning and scenic views of the mighty Kilimanjaro Mountain that gives the national park a beautiful backdrop.
More game viewing after lunch before you retire to your accommodation.
Day 3-4: Maasai Mara National Reserve
While in Maasai Mara national reserve, expect to see varied animal species as you drive within the park. Lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, Nile crocodiles, leopards among others. Travelling during the migration season, you stand a chance of witnessing the natural wonder which involves millions of wildebeests and other ungulates.
Day 5: To Serengeti, Tanzania
Time to cross borders into Tanzania’s Serengeti national park for more wilderness thrill. Arrive at your accommodation in the late afternoon, check in and settle in. Tomorrow is a great wilderness adventure.
Day 6-7: Serengeti National Park
The birth place of the great wildebeest migration that takes place on a yearly basis starting from the Southern region of the Serengeti area with the calving season where hundreds of new born wildebeest calves are born in days.
Get a chance to witness the great migration if you visit the park during the migration season. Go on game drives to explore the different areas of the vast Serengeti.
With an option of going on a hot air ballooning safari over the endless plains of the Serengeti, a whole other game viewing experience and also a visit to the Masai community.
Day 8-9: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
From Serengeti, we go to Ngorongoro conservation area. We shall have game drives on around the conservation area, Ndutu plains and crater rim with the best views of the scenic landscapes of Ngorongoro and the crater.
We shall also go for a game drive at the floor of the famous crater, the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world hosting over 25,00 animals and different bird species. Overnight in Ngorongoro.
Day 10: End of Safari
Transfer to Arusha and drop off at the airport for your home bound flight, marking the end of your 10-day Tanzania-Kenya safari.
