This 7-day joining safari lets you spend most of your time in the Savannah plains and rift valley landscapes. You will see many animals and birds living together in one ecosystem.

This group joining safari includes a visit to the home of travel documentaries – Serengeti National Park – where you will witness the great wildebeest migration and see the kings of the wild, lions and leopards.

Popular parks you will visit include Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park.

Besides this 7-day tour, you can join other group safari schedules and save money. We offer several Tanzania joining safaris with different lengths.

This 7-day Tanzania group safari starts and ends in Arusha, Tanzania.

Detailed Tanzania Group Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

You will meet your driver guide at your hotel or airport for a briefing about the 7-day safari. Then, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located in the eastern arm of the East African Rift Valley.

Check in to your chosen lodge on arrival. In the afternoon, visit the soda lake at Manyara for an afternoon game drive.

Most animals and birds in the park come here to drink, so you can expect to see large prides of lions, flamingos, blue-billed storks, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, and many bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full day in Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, go for a morning game drive to the park’s savannah plains. Watch animals seeking shade under acacia trees. You will see many tree species and birds.

Return to the lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, take another game drive to deeper parts of the park to see what you may have missed earlier. Return for supper and overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive & transfer to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet your driver. Take a morning game drive before driving to the Serengeti National Park.

The drive is special as you will pass through acacia trees and enjoy the park’s open savannah. On arrival, check in to your chosen lodge and relax. Have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4: Full day in Serengeti National Park

This is the day many travelers look forward to. You are in the home of adventure, where animals either hunt or run to survive. After breakfast, take a morning game drive along the Sogore River.

Here, you may see lions, elephants, wildebeests, cheetahs, leopards, topis, waterbucks, zebras, buffaloes, ostriches, and more. Have a picnic lunch at the visitor center where you can get a map and information about the park.

In the afternoon, continue your game drive and see the large herds of wildebeests that migrate between Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Park following the Mara River.

You might see predators hunting weaker animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Morning game drive & transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area

Before leaving Serengeti, take a sunrise game drive after breakfast. Then check out and drive to Ngorongoro Crater.

On arrival, have lunch and relax. Later, descend into the crater for a game drive.

The crater is home to many animals such as leopards, lions, cheetahs, and zebras. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Morning game drive & transfer to Tarangire National Park

Enjoy breakfast and check out of your lodge with your belongings. Take a morning game drive in Ngorongoro Crater to see what you may have missed.

The drive passes through swamps and giant acacia trees, home to many bird species.

Then continue to Tarangire National Park. Check in to your chosen lodge and spend the night.

Day 7: Morning game drive & transfer to Arusha for departure

Tarangire National Park is the only place in Africa where you will find many patchy dermis (elephants with wrinkled skin).

After breakfast, take a morning game drive and see elephants, zebras, waterbucks, gazelles, and more. After the drive, head back to Arusha for your departure.

This marks the end of your 7-day Tanzania group safari.
