- Day 1: Transfer from Moshi to Machame Camp (5-6 hours)

Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer from Moshi to Machame Camp (5-6 hours)
Our driver guide will pick you from the hotel in Moshi after breakfast, check-out and transfer to Machame Camp via Machame village, arrive at Machame Gate where you will acquire a hiking permit, join fellow hikers and set off. At this altitude the ground is boggy and slippery and you will be advised to use gaiters and trekking sticks. Have lunch enroute, and proceed to Machame Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: From Machame Camp to Shira Camp (4-5 hours)
Arise in the morning, have breakfast and embark on hiking to Shira Camp. You will hike a steep rocky ridge and soon begin to notice the changes in temperatures and humidity. Have an overnight stay at Shira Camp.
Day 3. From Shira Camp to Lava Tower then to Barranco Camp (6-8 hours)
Wake up in the morning, have breakfast and depart from Shira Camp, you will hike Eastwards to the junction of the route to the Lava Tower, you will have a picnic lunch, thereafter ascend and descend as you embrace the stiffness and the magnificent size of Barranco wall. This point is basically for acclimatization. Have an overnight at Barranco Camp.
Day 4. From Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp (8-10 hours)
Arise in the morning, have breakfast and head to Barafu Camp. You will hike through the gorge, proceed to Kibo peak, you can have a break for about an hour and embark on hiking to Karanga Camp where you will have a lunch break followed by some energy restoration and later proceed to Barafu Camp where you will have an early dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5. From Barafu Camp to the Summit then to Mweka Camp (8-12 hours)
Start your hiking adventure by midnight or 2:am to Uhuru Peak and this is the most challenging part where you will be passing through scree and snow. From here you will start to see the magnificent sunrise and the fats hikers will see sunrise from the Summit. Hike for an hour reach the summit, where you will celebrate, take pictures, videos and some hikers are seen shedding tears of joy.
Descend back to Barafu Camp where you will have lunch, rest for some time and embark on descending to Mweka Camp. You will arrive in the late evening, and spend an overnight here at Mweka Camp and this will be your last night on Mountain Kilimanjaro.
Day 6. Transfer from Mweka Camp to Arusha (4-5 hours)
Arise in the morning, have scrumptious breakfast, check-out and head to Arusha. Descend through a slippery terrain to Mweka gate where you will receive a hiking certificate, head to Mweka Village to meet your driver guide and proceed to Arusha where you will have lunch at the hotel. Your private driver guide will drop you at the hotel or Airport for flight back home or proceed to another destination of choice. This will mark the end of 6 days hiking Safari on Mount Kilimanjaro.
