Day 1: Pickup & transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
Your driver-guide will meet you at the hotel after breakfast, give you a short briefing about your stay in Tanzania, and then transfer you to Ngorongoro. This is the largest extinct caldera in the world, offering wildlife viewing, birdwatching, and wide views of the crater.
After arriving at the park, have lunch at the lodge and go for a game drive. You may see lions, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, and leopards, which are part of the Big Five. Other animals you may see include zebras, gazelles, bushbucks, antelopes, and different birds. In the evening, return to the lodge, check in, have dinner, and stay overnight.
Day 2: Game drive & transfer to Lake Eyasi
Wake up early and go for a morning game drive when many animals are active. You may see lions, leopards, hyenas, and jackals returning to their resting areas. You will also see grazers and browsers looking for fresh grass. Enjoy views of the sunrise over the crater. After the drive, return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and transfer to Lake Eyasi.
Arrive in time for lunch and check in at your lodge. In the evening, visit the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. You will join them in a local hunting experience and enjoy songs, dances, stories, and learn about their way of life. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Arusha & departure
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and begin the drive to Arusha. You will have lunch along the way and enjoy a short city tour and shopping in Arusha. Afterward, your driver-guide will drop you at the airport or your hotel, depending on your flight schedule.
