Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Fly to Serengeti National Park
Depending on where you are flying in from (Arusha, Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro / Dar es salaam). Your domestic flight to Serengeti airstrip will take you about 1-2 hours.
Your safari guide will be waiting to welcome and pick you up from the airstrip. Get into the tour car and embark on a game drive in the vast plains of Serengeti.
Expect to see cape buffalos, elephants, common elands, Maasai giraffes, lions, grant’s gazelles, topis, dik-dik, hyraxes, zebras, impalas, leopards, hippos, jackals, wildebeests, hartebeests among others.
You will have a picnic lunch. After continue with your game drive and later in the evening drive to your safari lodge / camp where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Game drive and Flight-Departure
A pre-sunrise game drive in Serengeti national park offers a rewarding game viewing experience. Drive out early in the morning into the Serengeti to watch the pack come to life at sunrise.
Get a chance to watch the nocturnal animals. Some hunting action as the predators hunt for their day’s meal and the herbivores grazing on the dewed morning grass. Animals are more active in the early morning as they get their day started.
Drive back the safari lodge / camp for breakfast and check out. Your safari guide will drive you to the Serengeti airstrip. Keep an eye out for last minute wildlife sightings of what you could have missed out on.
Take your domestic flight to Zanzibar / Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport for your international flight back home or to your next tourist destination.
