Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Pick up from Arusha airport or hotel by your safari guide and drive to Lake Manyara national park with a brief detour to Mto wa Mbu, an interesting vibrant village. Continue to Lake Manyara national park, home to the famous but rare tree climbing lions. A game drive will offer you a chance to have a glimpse of these lions in the trees among other animals that call Lake Manyara home. Expect to see leopards, zebras, waterbucks, wildebeests, elephants, warthogs among others.
A break to have you lunch and after continue with your game drive towards Lake Manyara which covers a big part of the park for more wildlife sightings including birds like flamingos and pelicans. Exit the park in the evening and drive to your safari lodge outside the park where you will have dinner and an overnight near Tarangire national park, your next stop on this safari.
Day 2: Game drive in Tarangire National Park and Departure
After your breakfast, drive into Tarangire national park for an early morning game drive. Witness the early morning activities of the animals like the predators on a morning kill. Tarangire is famously known for inhabiting huge herds of the African elephants and the ancient baobab trees. Expect to see lots of elephants among other animals like cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, lions, buffalos, gazelles, elands, giraffes and others.
Have a lunch break as you enjoy the surrounding sceneriy. Later on, continue with a game drive as you exit the park driving back to Arusha. Enjoy views of Mt. Meru and farmlands along the way. Drop off at your hotel in Arusha or airport to catch your flight.
