Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha-Machame Gate to Machame Camp (9,300 ft)
On arrival, be picked up from the agreed point in Arusha in the morning and transferred to Machame gate (Mount. Kilimanjaro national park) for briefing about this amazing Hiking experience. Arrive and acquire materials that you might need while on the hike such as the ropes, hiking sticks, hire porters and more others.
Began the hike with fellow trekkers and the park ranger guide. Pass through the rain forested areas where you get to spot animals like monkeys, mongoose, aardvarks and many more others. Hike to Machame camp where you will spend a night.
Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Proceed with a hike in the morning after breakfast which will involve passing through beautiful scenery as you pass through the many uphill areas. On this day, you will get out of the forest and head into another ecological region as you pass through the Shira plateau. Head to Shira camp and this will be the second night that will be spent in the mountains.
Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp (13,000 ft)
A good night’s sleep and heartily breakfast will be served in the morning and then proceed with a hike to Barranco camp. The trail passes through the Kilimanjaro alpine desert and this area gets its name because it’s generally rocky with unique plant life. Picnic lunch will be served with a great adventure v23 viewing points to different scenery. Sleep and have a great time at the campfire.
Day 4: Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp
Today’s trail or hike will involve crossing the Barranco Valley and then climbing the Barranco wall. Pass through the Karanga camp and then proceed to Barafu camp where you get to learn about the Swahili word Barafu meaning ice. Have a beautiful view of Kibo and Mawezi peaks. This will be the toughest night since you will get enough coldness. Sleeping will be at around 7 pm to allow you to rest and prepare for an early morning hike to the summit.
Day 5: Summit Day – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (19,341 ft) to Mweka Camp
Wake up as early as noon and park your snacks, enough drinking water, a headlight lamp will be on your head and many more others. Begin the trek to the summit that is Uhuru Peak standing at 5895 meters above sea level. Arrive at sunrise and enjoy great photos as you create memories. Later on, descend to Barafu for lunch and proceed to descend to Mweka camp where you will spend the last night in the mountains.
Day 6: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate to Arusha
Descend more and more after a delicious breakfast to Mweka gate where you will meet the driver guide. At this point, head to Arusha at your booked hotel with an option of a massage experience and this can be either in the evening or late after dinner.
Day 7: Head to Serengeti NP from Mweka gate.
Leave Arusha in the morning and transfer to Serengeti national park one of the unique tourist attraction in Tanzania with large numbers of wild animals including the big five and big cats. You cannot regret visiting this park since there are great moments you can enjoy such as the sunrise and sunset moments in the wilderness, the world’s wonders – annual wildebeest migration, picnic lunch and others. Arrive late evening and head to the lodge.
Day 8: Full-day game drive
Wake up on breakfast and then with your packed lunch. Enjoy a bush game drive for the whole day with different stopovers. Here you get close to the wildlife, enjoy lunch and more. There is a lot to explore such as lions, dik-dik, lesser kudu, impala, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, warthog, baboons, buffalos, bushbucks, ostriches, rhinos, and crocodiles.
Enjoy the wildebeest migration where you get to witness one of the world’s wonders. The picnic lunch and bush breakfast won’t be missed during this great day of game drive adventure.
Day 9: To Ngorongoro Crater and game drive
Depart to the Ngorongoro Crater area where you get to adventure in style through game drives. This park is a UNESCO world heritage site with the largest inactive, intact volcanic caldera in the world.
Arrive and embark on the morning game drive where you enjoy beautiful scenery, animals that won’t be missed include; cheetahs, buffalos, lions, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, elephants, hippos, Kobs and rhinos. Head to the lodge to enjoy your last night of this safari.
Day 10: Game drive and head back to Arusha, fly home
Have the last dose of wildlife viewing with a morning game drives; this will be followed by breakfast. Immediately, head back to Arusha to board your flight back home. This marks the end of this 10 days Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Kilimanjaro Safari. End of the tour.
